Our Lady of Perpetual Help Drum Corps

Established in Spring of 2014, Director Brian Miller (LB Wilson Alumni drummer), brought the idea of a syncopated drum section to the Our Lady of Perpetual Help middle school in Downey CA. This after school drumming program is open to all students at O.L.P.H., and is modeled in the syncopated style by teaching each drummer from the L.R.S.D. on-line training videos of classic syncopated cadences.
The Society for Syncopated Drumming is proud to help establish this new group by making available the fundamentals classic syncopated drumming, advise with director on equipment, cadences, build community contacts with parade organizers, and even provide new shirts for their uniforms.
The 2014 Seal Beach Christmas parade will be thier first time on the parade route, we hope there will be many more to come!
