This website is dedicated to all syncopated drummers, and to celebrate the unique drumming style that connects us all. In essence this is an on-line museum created to tell the story of syncopated drumming in and around Long Beach California, it’s origins, transformations, and future. We hope you find this collection inspiring, and encourage syncopated drummers from all eras to contribute, pictures, videos, cadences, stories, memorabilia, and pertinent knowledge to fill in the gaps of a tradition spanning over 60 years.

According to most of our research, the parade and field drumming known as “Syncopated Drumming”, was and is specific to the Long Beach, California region.
